1. There are direct causes and underlying causes that make any event happen. What was the direct cause of World War I and what were some of the underlying causes that made it swell into a worldwide conflict?
2. How did the issue of conscription create problems among the population at home in Canada more than on the battlefield?
3. The war became very important for the status of women in Canada, and around the world. Describe some of the roles that women took on during the war, and how these changes helped to raise the overall status of women. Were these changes temporary war measures or permanent in society?
