Create your log sheet for your cache. You can follow the example given and must include the cache name, the placers name, a table with at least 10 lines for finders to fill in, and some image to make it more interesting.

Part 4
Each group is responsible for getting a container to use as their cache. The Log sheets and a small pencil will be placed inside and then we will place them for the other class to find. We will place caches, recording their GPS position and then return to the school and log these in to the Geocaching.com site. You will need your handheld GPS units or the app downloaded to your phone for this activity.
Remember: these will be winter outings. Come prepared with a winter jacket with boots and mitts to stay dry and warm. We will only cancel outings because of extreme weather conditions.

Usable Cache containers could include: Kool-aid container
Margerine tubs
Mason Jar
Tupperware type container
(anything that can survive the elements and be waterproof)
Part 5
Once both groups have placed their caches we will download the coordinates for the target caches and go out to find them. Again, you will need your GPS units and/or phones for this activity. This will end with each group logging their success or failures on the webpages for each cache for their owners to see. Here are the GPS coordinates of the caches we placed.
